INTERNATIONALS - CZECHOSLOVAKIA
Czechoslovakia v Soviet Union
1961 | 20.05 : Chrudim | MOST UNUSUAL RACE FORMAT?? |
Duncan Luke, who
supplied all the information and programme scans on this page, explains: The programme is for a two day event at Chrudim (Czechoslovakia) on May 20-21, 1961. The first day was an international match between Czechoslovakia and USSR with a most unusual format. It was run over eight heats with the Russian team made up of four riders, plus a reserve, each riding four times while the home side gave 16 riders a single outing each!!. The meeting on the second day was a round of the Czechoslovakian Championships with the sixteen Czech riders competing in it. |
